How the Process Works

  1. Contact us before bringing the collection.

  2. Share the basics: which game, approximate size, storage method, and any notable cards.

  3. Send clear photos when possible so we can plan the review.

  4. Arrange an in-person review at a Midnight Oil event or another agreed local meeting.

  5. Receive a no-pressure offer. If you accept, we confirm the payment or store-credit terms before the collection changes hands.

Midnight Oil currently operates through pop-ups and community events, so collection reviews are scheduled rather than handled at a permanent walk-in storefront.

Offers are based on the collection as a whole—not simply a fixed percentage of an online list price. We consider:

  • Card condition and authenticity

  • Current market value and recent sales

  • Local and online demand

  • How quickly individual cards are likely to sell

  • Quantity, organization, and the time required to sort or process the collection

  • Midnight Oil’s current inventory and buying needs

Cash and store credit may be available depending on the collection. Store-credit offers are generally higher than cash offers. Every collection is different, and contacting us does not obligate you to sell or obligate Midnight Oil to purchase.
