Rules Expectations
Players are expected to understand the general rules of Commander and participate in good faith.
Midnight Oil Games & Hobbies staff are not certified Magic judges, but we will make every reasonable effort to answer rules questions and keep events moving fairly.
When a rules question occurs:
Pause the game.
Allow the table to discuss the issue.
Request organizer assistance if the table cannot agree.
Accept the event organizer’s final decision for that game.
Our goal is not to create a highly technical or hyper-competitive rules environment. Our goal is to provide a fair, organized, and enjoyable experience.
Table Conduct
Players are expected to be respectful, welcoming, and sportsmanlike.
Harassment, insults, intentionally slow play, aggressive arguments, misrepresentation of cards or game actions, and unsportsmanlike behavior may result in removal from the event.
Players who repeatedly create problems may be removed without prize eligibility.
Store Credit
Tournament prizes are awarded as Midnight Oil Games & Hobbies store credit.
Store credit may be used toward eligible purchases.
Store credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
