Quick facts
What is Exploding Kittens Party Pack?
Players take turns using action cards and drawing from a shared deck. Drawing an Exploding Kitten normally removes a player unless they can play a Defuse card. Other cards let players skip, attack, peek, shuffle, steal, or otherwise alter what happens next. The last player remaining wins.
How does it play?
- Prepare the deck. Give each player a starting hand and Defuse card, then add the correct number of Exploding Kittens for the player count.
- Play any action cards you want. Use cards to protect yourself, change turn order, or interfere with opponents.
- End by drawing. Unless a card says otherwise, finish the turn by taking the top card from the draw pile.
- Survive the explosion. Use a Defuse when you draw an Exploding Kitten or leave the game. The last surviving player wins.
Why you might like it
- New players can understand the basic turn in a few minutes.
- The Party Pack works with groups larger than the standard base game.
- Short rounds encourage rematches and changing player groups.
Who is it best for?
The game is best for families and casual groups that enjoy luck, surprise, and playful attacks between players. Reading is required for card effects, and players who dislike direct take-that interaction may prefer a cooperative or puzzle-style title.
